Sambalpuri handloom the name comes from a small town called Sambalpur situated in the western part of the state Odisha. Sambalpuri handloom follows a unique traditional technique of tie-dye before weaving called Bandhakala. This traditional bandhakala is also called Sambalpuri Ikkat.
