Neem Oil is a naturally occurring safe, non-toxic, eco-friendly, bio-degradable, anti-fungal and bio-pesticide found in seeds from the Neem (Azadirachata indica) tree. It is dark greenish-yellow to brown in colour, has a bitter taste, and a garlic/sulphur smell. Azadirachtin is the most active component in Neem Oil which repels and kills a large number of insect-pest species.

APPLICATION

1. As Foliar Spray. Neem Oil foliar spray @ 1 % concentration is most useful when applied to young plants. It is non-toxic to birds, fish, bees and wildlife, and no cancer or other disease-causing results from its use.
2. As Insecticide. Neem Oil insecticide works as a systemic in many plants when applied as a soil drench. It is absorbed by the plant and distributed throughout the tissue. Once the product is in the plant’s vascular system, insects intake it during feeding. The compound Azadirachtin causes insects to reduce or stop feeding, can prevent larvae from maturing, reduces or interrupts mating behaviour and, in some cases, the oil coats the breathing holes of insects and kills them.
3. As Fungicide. Neem Oil fungicide is useful against fungi, mildews and rusts when applied in a 1 % solution. It is also helpful for other kinds of issues such as Root Rot, Black Spot, Sooty Mould, etc.

MIXING RATIO

Add 500 ml Natural Emulsifier OR mild liquid soap to 2 litre Neem Oil and dilute by adding water to 200 litres. Stir well and spray on 1 ha (2.5 acre) of crop land. For smaller or larger areas adjust this ratio accordingly.

     FREQUENCY

Using Neem Oil once in 10-15 days will kill insect-pests and keep fungal issues at bay. However, in case of high infestation use Neem Oil once a week.

      PRECAUTION

• Apply Neem Oil only in indirect light or in the evening. Also do not use Neem Oil in extreme temperatures, either too hot or too cold, and to stressed plants due to drought or over-watering.
