This antimicrobial powder wound dressing conforms to any wound shape and size, easy to apply, absorbs excess exudates and enables extended wear time. The actives in the dressing are easily broken down by body enzymes, dissolves in the wound fluid, creates a optimal wound environment conditions and promotes fibroblast proliferation for new tissue to grow.

Additionally, the powder dressing has silver nanoparticles embedded in combination with silk protein to control microbial growth and promote faster wound healing by fibroblast proliferation and collagen deposition. It has broad spectrum anti-microbial activity for prolonged time due to the sustained release mechanism of silver ions which effectively controls infection at the wound site, decreases bioburden levels and creates a wound environment conducive to faster healing.
It can be used in combination with NPWT, compression and total contact cast dressings.
