Vermi Compost increases organic matter in the soil and provides continuity to biological activities in the soil. Using it makes the soil fertile and friable. It destroys termites and other harmful insects in the field. This reduces the cost of pesticides. It can be used at the rate of 5 tonnes per hectare.

Amount of nitrogen is 2.5 to 3 percent, amount of phosphorus is 1.5 to 2 percent, amount of potash is 1.5 to 2 percent, pH value is 7 to 7.5 and apart from these, balanced amounts of zinc, copper, calcium, magnesium, sulphur, cobalt and boron are found in vermicompost.
