Hunar SetuHunar Setu is a social initiative that connects skilled artisans and craftsmen with buyers, businesses, and communities that value their work. India’s artisans carry centuries of tradition, culture, and craftsmanship, but many of them struggle to access markets, technology, and fair opportunities. Hunar Setu was created to bridge this gap.https://www.hunarsetu.com/s/62ea2c599d1398fa16dbae0a/676523772eb3cf19c22b9674/hunarsetu1-logo-1--480x480.png

  • Our Home made Petha or Bhuj Urad dal wadis are sun dried dumplings made with Grated Ash guard blended with  ground urad lentil batter. They are meaty in texture as well as in taste.  These dumplings are also a great substitute for meat and even the not so healthy soy chunks that we get in India. Plus they are Vegan as well as gluten free. you can add them to veggies, rice, even soups, pasta or noodles.
  • They can also be fried and served as a side dish. They soak up the sauce or gravy in which they are cooked and yet retain their texture, flavour & taste.
  • Petha Urad Dal Badi can also be added to various vegetable curries, meat dishes, rice pulaos etc., to give these dishes a distinctive spicy flavour. They can be soaked in water, mashed and used as stuffing for parathas, and Kachoris.
  • Before cooking, you need to break them gently, by wrapping them in a kitchen towel and hitting them gently with a rolling pin or meat tenderizer. Then fry the pieces for a few seconds in 1 tsp. oil. They are now ready to be added to any dish of your choice.
  • Our Urad Wariyan are processed in completely hygienic environment.
