Pineapple is a tropical fruit with sweet and juicy flavour.  It has a tough, scaly, brown or yellow-green exterior and a yellow, fibrous interior. The fruit is actually a multiple fruit, formed from the fusion of many individual flowers. The fruit can be eaten fresh or canned, and the leaves can be used to make a silky fiber.
