Karan Guar-1 (also known as RGr 12-1) is a high-yielding, drought-resistant variety of cluster bean predominantly cultivated in Rajasthan. It is highly valued for both vegetable consumption and industrial guar gum production

Adaptability: Thrives best under rainfed conditions in arid/semi-arid environments, with early July sowing generally yielding the best agricultural results.

Maturity & Growth: Reaches maturity in about 82 to 92 days. The plant grows relatively tall, frequently reaching 120 to 125 cm depending on climate.

Disease Resistance:Exhibits moderate natural resistance to major agricultural diseases, including bacterial blight, alternaria leaf spot, and root rot

Yield Potential: It produces an average grain yield of 1000–1058 kg per hectare.
