Hunar SetuHunar Setu is a social initiative that connects skilled artisans and craftsmen with buyers, businesses, and communities that value their work. India’s artisans carry centuries of tradition, culture, and craftsmanship, but many of them struggle to access markets, technology, and fair opportunities. Hunar Setu was created to bridge this gap.https://www.hunarsetu.com/s/62ea2c599d1398fa16dbae0a/676523772eb3cf19c22b9674/hunarsetu1-logo-1--480x480.png

Patachitra or Pattachitra is a general term for traditional, cloth-based scroll painting, originating from Orissa. Patta’s paintings are done on small strips of cloth. The painters do not use pencil or charcoal for the preliminary drawings. They are so expert in the line that they simply draw directly with the brush either in light red or yellow. Then the colours are filled in. The final lines are drawn and the patta is given a lacquer coating to protect it from weather, thus making the painting glossy. All colours used are natural colours.
This is a unique mix of 2 different cultures. Warli painting with natural colour is done in the patachitra art on a Tussar silk cloth.
