Gender disparity is one of the major discussed and debated fields of study in postmodern literary theory and practice. Thousands of critical and research papers are being written; re-written, discussed, debated while they are presented in seminars, published in national and international journals, daily newspapers, E-journals and the papers are carefully stored in the book shelves of Colleges and Universities across the globe but the basic pattern still remains almost everywhere the same. One thing we cant deny that the curse of the long debated issue like gender disparity still exists in different colours in different countries. The writers, artists, thinkers, literary critics, film makers and social workers have been working hard and soul to eradicate this social curse. Sorry to say, we are yet to free our society from the so-called myth that Women, Second sex, born to be submissive, acquiescent and weak and only learn to appease the carnal desires of men and to look after their children and family only. The editor has tried to represent the movement of the poets and artists through their radical creations against this so-called myth. This international Anthology of poems and art works entitled Gender Disparity includes the works of renowned poets and artists representing the issues related to the title. I hope the readers will get a unique collection of poems and art from this unique anthology.
