Dhotis are manufactured by core cotton there is no color fading effect. Soak the Dhoti overnight in water (at room temperature). Use a mild detergent to rinse the stains and avoid using extremely hot water as it might spoil the golden zari borders. Preferable to hand wash and avoid putting in washing machine along with other items as the dyes of other clothes might stain the Dhoti. Iron the dhoti and store it away from pests, moisture, and heat.
