Kulthi dal, also known as horse gram, is a type of legume, a superfood rich in protein and nutrients, and known for its medicinal properties. 

It's also called Macrotyloma uniflorum, kulthi bean, gahat, hurali, or Madras gram. 

It's a good source of protein, carbohydrates, essential amino acids, iron, phosphorus, and vitamins like carotene, thiamine, riboflavin, niacin, and vitamin C. The water extracted after soaking or boiling Kulthi may help dissolve kidney stones and prevent their recurrence.
