Hunar SetuHunar Setu is a social initiative that connects skilled artisans and craftsmen with buyers, businesses, and communities that value their work. India’s artisans carry centuries of tradition, culture, and craftsmanship, but many of them struggle to access markets, technology, and fair opportunities. Hunar Setu was created to bridge this gap.https://www.hunarsetu.com/s/62ea2c599d1398fa16dbae0a/676523772eb3cf19c22b9674/hunarsetu1-logo-1--480x480.png

Sahayak

सहायक · the one who helps

Give an hour. Help someone start selling.

A Sahayak sits with an artisan who has never sold online, helps take photos that do the work justice, explains how the money arrives, and fixes anything that doesn’t look right.

In the field4–6 hrs / week

Field Sahayak

You cover one district. You visit artisans, help with photos and sign-up, and stay the person they call afterwards.

Reviewer

You check draft listings and approve, edit or send them back. Most of our reviewers are students, and twenty minutes a day makes a real difference.

Training is five modules and about an hour

Everyone finishes all five modules before working with an artisan, and we verify ID first.

01
Who we serve

What an artisan’s day looks like, what not to promise, and how to behave as a guest in someone’s home.

02
Consent and data

What you may photograph and record, how to explain consent out loud, and what we never keep.

03
Photography

Light, background, scale, the four angles. Ends with a practice upload the model scores for you.

04
Listing quality

What makes a good title, which details matter for each craft, and how to talk about price without pushing.

05
Money and grievance

How payments work, and what to do if an artisan says the money hasn’t arrived.

How we keep artisans safe

A Sahayak visits homes and helps with an account someone’s income depends on. These are the safeguards, written plainly so any artisan can read them before saying yes.

Identity verified first

We check ID before certification and keep only the result, never the document.

Every action is logged

Who did what, and when. Artisans can ask to see the record at any time.

Access dies on one message

An artisan can remove a Sahayak’s access with one WhatsApp message, straight away.

Never any bank details

A Sahayak can only see whether a payment has gone out, never the account behind it.

A grievance button on every screen

One tap reaches a coordinator and our team, never the Sahayak it is about.

Women can ask for a woman

Artisans can ask to work with a woman Sahayak, and we match accordingly.

Apply

We read every application and reply within a week, usually with a short call before training starts.

WHAT YOU GET
